Hazel Gap Barn Wedding Photography | Joe & Kate

I’m thrilled to share the highlights from Joe & Kate’s awesome Hazel Gap Barn Wedding. This would be my first visit to this new wedding venue and one I was looking forward to. Hazel Gap Barn is a magical venue. It’s the perfect setting for a rustic, atmospheric candlelit wedding.
 
Joe & Kate both looked incredible on the day and were so comfortable in front of the camera. Even Joe, who unfortunately broke his leg only a few weeks before the wedding. He had a leg cast & cane (He rocks that cane so well!) Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Atkinson. Here’s some of my favourites from the day and some info from the couple. How long have you been together/Any stories about how you met?

We’ve been together for 2 years. We met at Hucknall town football club.

Reasons for choosing your venue:

Hazel Gap Barn was the perfect venue. It stands and has everything you could wish for. The barn and the courtyard were fabulous, and the staff went above and beyond.
 

Colour scheme/theme/style:

Ivory, cream and gold with white flowers.
 

Any special thoughts/memories from the day?

It was a very memorable day. My wife looked stunning and the bridesmaids, flower girls and page boys stole the show!
 

Any advice for couples planning a wedding?

Enjoy it and try and take time out as a couple especially on the day.

We loved Matt’s work from our first look at his website, his use of light is beautiful. On the day, Matt and Christian were great and put everyone at ease. Everyone commented how friendly they were, and they had a discrete presence throughout the day, capturing candid moments.

The photos are breath-taking, and we cannot wait to get the album. There is not much more to say, Matt was great, and we cannot recommend him highly enough!
