5 Star Service - From our first consultation with Matt we knew we were in good hands and all our needs would be met, Matt listened to us, made us feel at ease and explained everything and answered all our questions. Matt was amazing from start to finish and we can’t recommend him highly enough. Prior to our wedding we met with Matt a couple of times. He listened to what we wanted and worked with us to achieve it. Whether that was particular locations, timings or people we wanted capturing, he made sure he took time to understand us. On the day Matt (and Christian) were amazing. There are inevitable never on the wedding morning but they were able to help us remain calm and comfortable whilst they worked. Their personalities were so relaxing and reassuring throughout the day and their passion for their job is infectious. Both were there first thing in the morning for the getting ready shots staying all the way through to capture plenty of evening party shots. They were probably with us for 13-14 hours. One of the biggest compliments from the day is that, other than the group shot photos, we hardly noticed them. They managed to capture so many great moments from our day in a subtle way. We got our photos back so quickly and, as you can see from a small selection, they are amazing! We were amazed with how Matt managed to capture the big, spectacular shots but also capture so many natural moments. As we looked through them we were taken back to the day itself, being able to see from peoples faces exactly what part of the day it was taken. It was the perfect mix of photos to help us remember our day. When it came to ordering photos, Matt has also been great. He has helped us with picking the right photos for our album. Even when one of our parents was having difficulties with ordering photos Matt was there to help and talked them through it and even followed up to confirm the order. I honestly don't know where to start. I guess the best way is to say if you're thinking of booking Matt as your wedding photographer - DO IT!! Don't hesitate. I originally found Matt by using instragram hashtags - it's how I found most of my suppliers. I enquired on his website & he responded super quickly & arranged a meeting at his office in Nottingham. I loved that he likes to meet you before you book him to make sure you're both on the same page with what you're looking for in your wedding photography - he wants to make sure he can deliver! We booked Matt roughly 18 months before the day & comms were really good on the run up, he kept in contact throughout this period (nothing worse than never hearing from a supplier you've booked!!) Matt uses a second photographer, Christian & it definitely makes a difference!! Nothing was missed - Matt could be photographing Dan & I and Christian could photograph guests & it works treat, we had photos of every guest! Matt knew exactly what we wanted from our photographs & he really didn't disappoint. He was really easy to work with on the day - we were super relaxed in his company & I feel the amazinggg images captured are definitely down to how relaxed & natural we felt in his & Christians company. We didnt feel tense or awkward & we laughed & exchanged banter all day and our special day wouldn't have been the same without both Matt & Christian. Matt likes to capture a different image, something he's never captured before at other weddings at the same venuev& we loved this - who doesn't want something individualistic on their wedding day? We recieved the link for our images quicker than he quoted & we are so so happy with them. The online portal is easy to use & it's really easy to share your images with friends & family too. We've now received our wedding album after struggling to whittle the amount of images down to the recommended as they were all so so good!! The album is fabtastic quality, better than we expected. After looking for wedding photographers and finding a lot of the same we came across Matt whose photos stood out and told a story of people's wedding day. After meeting Matt we instantly liked his style and Matt him self. His partner who supported Matt was brilliant and both worked great together and were very professional. At the wedding they made it feel comfortable and easy to take amazing natural shots to tell the story of our wedding. I’m not one for photos and Matt knew this yet some how managed to deliver perfect wedding photos that absolutely everybody has commented on the quality of. Couldn’t have done any better! Photo renovation. Having come into possession of 2 photos of our late sister as a young child. Unfortunately,  they were in a very bad state, we approached Matt to see if there was anything that could be done. Matt said he would certainly try and hope that he could give us something of a reasonable quality. Little did we know that Matt was a magician. We are absolutely astounded at the quality of finish. We would not hesitate in recommending  Matt. If you need to bring life back to photos you  never thought was possible then Matt is your man. Matt is an absolutely fabulous wedding photographer! We met Matt at a wedding fair at our venue, we felt like we immediately hit it off so organised an initial meeting. This was great as it meant both sides knew we wanted the same things. Matt was great to have around of the day, super friendly, unobtrusive, but great at getting people organised for the perfect shots! We have the most beautiful gallery that captures all the candid joy and some fantastic posed shots that are just stunning. Matt was our wedding photographer earlier this year. We had the ceremony at a cathedral and Matt took some stunning pictures there. He was professional and engaging with our young children and elderly relatives, getting the best pictures. Matt took us for some more structured pictures, at our request, at different times and he did this superbly. We are absolutely over the moon with the results and have just placed orders for albums with him. Would recommend Matt and Christian to anyone looking for a wedding photographer! The photos are incredible. We now have so many photos which capture special people and moments from our day and our family and friends love them all. He explained he aims to document the day as it unfolds naturally and this was definitely achieved in the most beautiful photos. He also got some really creative photos as well which was what drew us to him when we were searching initially. Matt and Christian were very easy to get along with. Matt and Christian were fantastic and made us feel so comfortable for our wedding day! All our guests echoed our sentiments too, saying that Matt and Christian were amazing! Matt knew exactly what photos to get, and managed to direct family members with clarity, fantastic photographs with artistic flair - he made it look easy! Matt was frienbut also to blend seamlessly into the background for other shots -  the man can do it all! Matt (and Christian) photographed our wedding at Stapleford Park back in January. We received the photos shortly after the big day and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose Matt. Matt provided a brilliant service from our first call through to receiving our final photos. Both Matt and Christian were excellent on the day, capturing some stunning moments and being a great fun to work with. They didn't miss a thing over the course of what i can imagine was a very tiring day (0730 start through till the evening) and captured so many precious moments that we'll treasure forever. I genuinely cannot put into words how incredible our experience with Matt Selby was. From the very first meeting, we knew instantly that we wanted to book him — and everything Matt has done since has gone above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. I’ve never truly felt beautiful, but somehow Matt managed to capture photographs that showed pure happiness and the love I have for my husband — and the love in his eyes when he looks at me. Those moments are ones I will cherish for the rest of my life. Our photo album is absolutely stunning. Looking through it feels like reliving the entire day all over again. Matt didn’t just capture the big moments; he caught everything — the quiet tears from our front-row guests, the laughter we shared with family and friends, and even the tiny details we spent so long decorating the room with. Nothing was missed, and everything was captured with such care. I will never be able to recommend a photographer more highly. Matt didn’t just take photos — he preserved memories we’ll treasure forever. And on a small note, a massive thank you to Matt for being so patient with us! Matt photographed our wedding at the Peak Edge Hotel, Derbyshire in November. We liked Matt's work and the photos were great. A lovely mixture of formal and relaxed shots. He also spoke to us about some off-site photos and we agreed to a quick trip to local moors. It was well worth it, particularly as we really wanted some countryside images. Matt worked with an assistant, Christian who was also great and together they were able to capture different angles / moments. We knew that we wanted Matt to be our photographer from the start of our wedding planning journey! We saw some of his work online before we had properly started planning and instantly knew that we wanted him at our wedding! The whole process was easy from meeting him in his studio to look at his work and make sure we were comfortable with him on the day, him and James were amazing! Finding the right Photographer for our Wedding was a top priority for us and we weren’t disappointed. We booked Matt about 2 years in advance and kept in touch via many emails, where Matt was always happy to answer any questions we had. Once we met him, we were even more confident we had found the right man for the job. Friendly, easy-going, relaxed and made us feel comfortable and at ease. On the day itself, Matt and his second Photographer Christian were seamlessly professional while at the same time blending in with our guests and putting everyone at ease. We had so many comments from our guests about how amazing Matt and Christian were. Words can’t describe how happy we are with our Photographs. Just AMAZING! If you’re looking for a wedding photographer then Matt is your guy! From start to end I couldn’t fault the service he provided. What lured us in is how down to earth, relaxed and friendly Matt is. We didn’t want a load of staged pictures, but more natural ones of us mingling with friends and family and it’s safe to say he understood the assignment. The communication in the run up to the event was fantastic and I couldn’t believe how unobtrusive Matt and his colleague Will were on the day. They made the run of things feel effortless and it’s just what we wanted. We’ve only had a a couple of shots back so far which have blown us away, I cannot wait to see the rest. Matt and Christian were both amazing, they put us and the guest at ease and most of the time we didn't even know they were there. Matt clearly has a keen eye for getting the perfect picture and our wedding photographs will be treasured forever, we've had so many comments of how amazing they are. Wedding photography is always a big cost, but no doubt Matt's prices could be three times as much and I would happily pay it time and time again. Cannot recommend his services enough. We hired Matt to be our wedding photographer and are so glad that we did. Matt was with us from Bridal prep until the party late in the evening (he stayed past the first dance & cake cutting to capture some dance/party pics). Matt and his 2nd shooter Will were excellent, managing to take photos without being intrusive during the service and reception. In the run up to the wedding Matt made sure to check in and confirm whether there were any specific photos we really wanted to capture. Instead of having a dedicated time for photos in the wedding timeline, Matt would grab us at the right moments to capture some shots which didn't break up the flow of the day. Matt was happy for guests to grab him throughout the day to capture any photos and it was great to see so many group shots when we looked through the finished pictures. Matt and Will were great fun throughout the day, they gave our guests clear instructions and had a clear creative vision for the shots they wanted to capture. The finished photos are absolutely stunning and there are so many incredible shots that we have struggled to pick favourites. Matt’s storytelling photography style is just beautiful and we have so many gorgeous shots from the different parts of the day. He did an incredible job of capturing split second candid moments that bring back memories of the day. We received our finished photos about a month after the wedding and Matt sent clear instructions along with a link to a personalised website containing all our shots. There was a link that we could share with our guests that would allow them to view the images. We also received a selection of our photos as physical prints and a magnet along with some sweets. Picking Matt as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made and we would 100% recommend him to anyone in search of a professional photographer for an event.

We fell in love with Matt’s natural style and he really captured all the love, the happiness, and the beautiful setting of the day. Matt and Will really put us at ease while they worked and captured all of the key moments. We received the photos so quickly and were absolutely blown away. Organisation leading up to the wedding was perfect and we captured all the shots we wanted on top of the beautiful shots Matt created. It was extra special to have Matt from the morning prep right until late at night and that’s something not a lot of photographers do. We booked with Matt back in January 2019, after 2 cancelled dates we finally had our wedding. Matt has been nothing but accommodating, he changed our first 2 dates, worked around us, changed venues and has been nothing short of fantastic!! His communication has been brilliant, he has been sympathetic to our circumstances and wonderful to work with. He has really gone above and beyond for us, and we cannot thank him enough. During our day he kept us so relaxed and worked around our schedule. He was efficient and productive, and the results speak volumes!! Our pictures are beautiful and perfect! The trust we had in Matt shone through his work and commitment to our wedding. His eye to detail was impeccable and you can really tell Matt is passionate about what he does. I am not sure where to start! We initially had some issues with our previously booked photographer, so with around 6 months to go for our wedding we had to go searching. Thankfully, we found Matt. From the first contact, to the face to face meeting at his office and to the end of the day of the wedding - Matt has been nothing but outstanding. He communicates well, he makes sure you, your partner and him all have the some goal which, lets be honest, is to have the best photos. On the day, he brought along Paul who was also incredible. Everyone complimented on how well they captured the day - the smiles, laughs and all the hugs! I could go on for days about how much I appreciate that Matt was available for our special day. The way he and Christian captured our day is fantastic; their passion for photography is so evident! There are so many candid shots of friends and family which really bring back the emotions of the day, as well as breath-taking photographs we will treasure forever! We booked Matt for our wedding and were so glad we did. Matt was incredible from day 1. We found ourselves in the early days cancelling our venue so attempted to cancel Matt which would mean we lost the deposit. Matt was amazing, he wouldn’t let us knee jerk and cancel and said ‘hang fire you may find somewhere else’ and we did, so we didn’t lose our deposit. Matt kept in touch with Zoom meetings and had a really good idea of what we wanted. On the day I was really anxious about having photographers around. However after the first 5 minutes I’d forgot all about them.. In a good way! Matt and Christian were like part of our friends and family on the day. Our guest commented on how friendly they were and just how they were generally great guys. Polite and professional at all times. My sons are autistic, and I was really worried about how they’d be on the day. Matt was really patient and helped to keep my youngest occupied and out of the frame while I was having my photo taken . Relieving so much stress for me. The photos we’ve seen so far look amazing and I can’t wait to see the rest. Were not photogenic either so the natural not forced posing was perfect for us. I actually ended up having so much fun doing the photos. It was an October wedding and got chilly later on. Matt even gave me his jacket to help stop my lips turning blue! We took some great photos with smoke cannons and sparklers too, we captured everything I wanted. Matt made sure to check in before he left to see if there was anything else we wanted. There wasn’t he had covered everything. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Matts services. You won’t regret it. These are two of the nicest and friendliest guys you could have at your wedding. We hired Matt to be our wedding photographer and are so glad that we did. Matt was with us from Bridal prep until the party late in the evening (he stayed past the first dance & cake cutting to capture some dance/party pics). Matt and his 2nd shooter Will were excellent, managing to take photos without being intrusive during the service and reception. In the run up to the wedding Matt made sure to check in and confirm whether there were any specific photos we really wanted to capture. Instead of having a dedicated time for photos in the wedding timeline, Matt would grab us at the right moments to capture some shots which kept up the flow of the day. Matt was happy for guests to grab him throughout the day to capture any photos and it was great to see so many group shots when we looked through the finished pictures. Matt and Will were great fun throughout the day, they gave our guests clear instructions and had a clear creative vision for the shots they wanted to capture. The finished photos are absolutely stunning and there are so many incredible shots that we have struggled to pick favourites. Matt’s storytelling photography style is just beautiful and we have so many gorgeous shots from the different parts of the day. He did an incredible job of capturing split second candid moments that bring back memories of the day. We received our finished photos about a month after the wedding and Matt sent clear instructions along with a link to a personalised website containing all our shots. There was a link that we could share with our guests that would allow them to view the images. We also received a selection of our photos as physical prints and a magnet along with some sweets. Matt was amazing from start to finish and we can’t recommend him highly enough. Prior to our wedding we met with Matt a couple of times. He listened to what we wanted and worked with us to achieve it. Whether that was particular locations, timings or people we wanted capturing, he made sure he took time to understand us. On the day Matt (and Christian) were amazing. There are inevitable never on the wedding morning but they were able to help us remain calm and comfortable whilst they worked. Their personalities were so relaxing and reassuring throughout the day and their passion for their job is infectious. Both were there first thing in the morning for the getting ready shots staying all the way through to capture plenty of evening party shots. They were probably with us for 13-14 hours. One of the biggest compliments from the day is that, other than the group shot photos, we hardly noticed them. They managed to capture so many great moments from our day in a subtle way. We got our photos back so quickly and, as you can see from a small selection, they are amazing! We were amazed with how Matt managed to capture the big, spectacular shots but also capture so many natural moments. As we looked through them we were taken back to the day itself, being able to see from peoples faces exactly what part of the day it was taken. It was the perfect mix of photos to help us remember our day. When it came to ordering photos, Matt has also been great. He has helped us with picking the right photos for our album. Even when one of our parents was having difficulties with ordering photos Matt was there to help and talked them through it and even followed up to confirm the order. I honestly don't know where to start. I guess the best way is to say if you're thinking of booking Matt as your wedding photographer - DO IT!! Don't hesitate. I originally found Matt by using instragram hashtags - it's how I found most of my suppliers. I enquired on his website & he responded super quickly & arranged a meeting at his office in Nottingham. I loved that he likes to meet you before you book him to make sure you're both on the same page with what you're looking for in your wedding photography - he wants to make sure he can deliver! We booked Matt roughly 18 months before the day & comms were really good on the run up, he kept in contact throughout this period (nothing worse than never hearing from a supplier you've booked!!) Matt uses a second photographer, Christian & it definitely makes a difference!! Nothing was missed - Matt could be photographing Dan & I and Christian could photograph guests & it works treat, we had photos of every guest! Matt knew exactly what we wanted from our photographs & he really didn't disappoint. He was really easy to work with on the day - we were super relaxed in his company & I feel the amazinggg images captured are definitely down to how relaxed & natural we felt in his & Christians company. We didnt feel tense or awkward & we laughed & exchanged banter all day and our special day wouldn't have been the same without both Matt & Christian. Matt likes to capture a different image, something he's never captured before at other weddings at the same venuev& we loved this - who doesn't want something individualistic on their wedding day? We recieved the link for our images quicker than he quoted & we are so so happy with them. The online portal is easy to use & it's really easy to share your images with friends & family too. We've now received our wedding album after struggling to whittle the amount of images down to the recommended as they were all so so good!! The album is fabtastic quality, better than we expected. After looking for wedding photographers and finding a lot of the same we came across Matt whose photos stood out and told a story of people's wedding day. After meeting Matt we instantly liked his style and Matt him self. His partner who supported Matt was brilliant and both worked great together and were very professional. Photo renovation. Having come into possession of 2 photos of our late sister as a young child. Unfortunately,  they were in a very bad state, we approached Matt to see if there was anything that could be done. Matt was our wedding photographer earlier this year. We had the ceremony at a cathedral and Matt took some stunning pictures there. He was professional and engaging with our young children and elderly relatives, getting the best pictures. Matt took us for some more structured pictures, at our request, at different times and he did this superbly. We are absolutely over the moon with the results and have just placed orders for albums with him. Matt knew exactly what photos to get, and managed to direct family members with clarity, fantastic photographs with artistic flair - he made it look easy! Matt was frienbut also to blend seamlessly into the background for other shots -  the man can do it all! I genuinely cannot put into words how incredible our experience with Matt Selby was. From the very first meeting, we knew instantly that we wanted to book him — and everything Matt has done since has gone above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. I’ve never truly felt beautiful, but somehow Matt managed to capture photographs that showed pure happiness and the love I have for my husband — and the love in his eyes when he looks at me. Those moments are ones I will cherish for the rest of my life. Our photo album is absolutely stunning. Looking through it feels like reliving the entire day all over again. Matt didn’t just capture the big moments; he caught everything — the quiet tears from our front-row guests, the laughter we shared with family and friends, and even the tiny details we spent so long decorating the room with. Nothing was missed, and everything was captured with such care. I will never be able to recommend a photographer more highly. Finding the right Photographer for our Wedding was a top priority for us and we weren’t disappointed. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer then Matt is your guy! From start to end I couldn’t fault the service he provided. What lured us in is how down to earth, relaxed and friendly Matt is. We didn’t want a load of staged pictures, but more natural ones of us mingling with friends and family and it’s safe to say he understood the assignment. The communication in the run up to the event was fantastic and I couldn’t believe how unobtrusive Matt and his colleague Will were on the day. My now husband and I booked Matt for our wedding in June at Newstead Abbey and we could not have asked for a better photographer. We fell in love with Matt’s natural style and he really captured all the love, the happiness, and the beautiful setting of the day. Matt and Will really put us at ease while they worked and captured all of the key moments. We received the photos so quickly and were absolutely blown away. Organisation leading up to the wedding was perfect and we captured all the shots we wanted on top of the beautiful shots Matt created. It was extra special to have Matt from the morning prep right until late at night and that’s something not a lot of photographers do. We booked with Matt back in January 2019, after 2 cancelled dates we finally had our wedding. Matt has been nothing but accommodating, he changed our first 2 dates, worked around us, changed venues and has been nothing short of fantastic!! His communication has been brilliant, he has been sympathetic to our circumstances and wonderful to work with. He has really gone above and beyond for us, and we cannot thank him enough. During our day he kept us so relaxed and worked around our schedule. He was efficient and productive, and the results speak volumes!! Our pictures are beautiful and perfect! The trust we had in Matt shone through his work and commitment to our wedding. His eye to detail was impeccable and you can really tell Matt is passionate about what he does. Matt and Christian were fantastic and made us feel so comfortable for our wedding day! All our guests echoed our sentiments too, saying that Matt and Christian were amazing! Matt knew exactly what photos to get, and managed to direct family members with clarity, but also to blend seamlessly into the background for other shots -  the man can do it all! Matt came and grabbed us for some beautiful shots at sunset, and even turned what could've been considered somewhat average landscapes, into fantastic photographs with artistic flair - he made it look easy! I am not sure where to start! We initially had some issues with our previously booked photographer, so with around 6 months to go for our wedding we had to go searching. Thankfully, we found Matt. From the first contact, to the face to face meeting at his office and to the end of the day of the wedding - Matt has been nothing but outstanding. He communicates well, he makes sure you, your partner and him all have the some goal which, lets be honest, is to have the best photos. On the day, he brought along Paul who was also incredible. Everyone complimented on how well they captured the day - the smiles, laughs and all the hugs! I could go on for days about how much I appreciate that Matt was available for our special day. These pictures will stay with us forever and I cannot thank Matt and his team enough. If you are in doubt whether to contact Matt for a discussion, just stop doubting and contact him! After finding Matt online and seeing his portfolio (which speaks for itself), we asked him to photograph our wedding and could not be happier!!! The way he and Christian captured our day is fantastic; their passion for photography is so evident! There are so many candid shots of friends and family which really bring back the emotions of the day, as well as breath-taking photographs we will treasure forever! As well as their photography, Matt and Christian are so easy to work with. One of the biggest compliments we can give them is that a number of our guests, having seen their work, have commented on how they hadn’t even realised they were there! We booked Matt for our wedding and were so glad we did. Matt was incredible from day 1. We found ourselves in the early days cancelling our venue so attempted to cancel Matt which would mean we lost the deposit. Matt was amazing, he wouldn’t let us knee jerk and cancel and said ‘hang fire you may find somewhere else’ and we did, so we didn’t lose our deposit. Matt kept in touch with Zoom meetings and had a really good idea of what we wanted. On the day I was really anxious about having photographers around. However after the first 5 minutes I’d forgot all about them.. In a good way! Matt and Christian were like part of our friends and family on the day. Our guest commented on how friendly they were and just how they were generally great guys. Polite and professional at all times. My sons are autistic, and I was really worried about how they’d be on the day. Matt was really patient and helped to keep my youngest occupied and out of the frame while I was having my photo taken . Relieving so much stress for me. The photos we’ve seen so far look amazing and I can’t wait to see the rest. Were not photogenic either so the natural not forced posing was perfect for us. I actually ended up having so much fun doing the photos. It was an October wedding and got chilly later on. Matt even gave me his jacket to help stop my lips turning blue! We took some great photos with smoke cannons and sparklers too, we captured everything I wanted. Matt made sure to check in before he left to see if there was anything else we wanted. There wasn’t he had covered everything. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Matts services. You won’t regret it. These are two of the nicest and friendliest guys you could have at your wedding. We hired Matt to be our wedding photographer and are so glad that we did. Matt was with us from Bridal prep until the party late in the evening (he stayed past the first dance & cake cutting to capture some dance/party pics). Matt and his 2nd shooter Will were excellent, managing to take photos without being intrusive during the service and reception. In the run up to the wedding Matt made sure to check in and confirm whether there were any specific photos we really wanted to capture. Instead of having a dedicated time for photos in the wedding timeline, Matt would grab us at the right moments to capture some shots which kept up the flow of the day. Matt was happy for guests to grab him throughout the day to capture any photos and it was great to see so many group shots when we looked through the finished pictures. Matt and Will were great fun throughout the day, they gave our guests clear instructions and had a clear creative vision for the shots they wanted to capture. The finished photos are absolutely stunning and there are so many incredible shots that we have struggled to pick favourites. Matt’s storytelling photography style is just beautiful and we have so many gorgeous shots from the different parts of the day. He did an incredible job of capturing split second candid moments that bring back memories of the day. We received our finished photos about a month after the wedding and Matt sent clear instructions along with a link to a personalised website containing all our shots. There was a link that we could share with our guests that would allow them to view the images. We also received a selection of our photos as physical prints and a magnet along with some sweets. We used Matt for our wedding in September and he was great from the off, we are London based so we didn't actually meet face to face with Matt but we had a phone call before we booked him and we were confident that we wanted to book him just from the phone call. On the day Matt and his assistant (so sorry i cant remember his name, the day was a blur!) were great, very professional, very friendly and enthusiastic. Matt and Christian photographed our wedding and WOW. The pictures are unreal, they really get all the best moments too. They were absolutely lovely and everyone commented how good they were and how they became part of the wedding and took care to make sure they were considerate in the temple as we also had a Sikh wedding.
