Nottingham Wedding Photographer – Matt Selby photography
After a calamitous year in 2020, the wedding industry had a chance to pick itself up, dust down and return to weddings. For many It would be a case of 2 wedding seasons rolled into one, something I think can easily be underestimated going from one extreme to the other. I think the wedding industry and the individuals who have worked tirelessly over the last 12 months should have a great sense of pride for dealing with a year like no other (but luckily in a more positive sense.)
This was a year in which a lot of couples finally had chance to have the wedding they had originally planned, albeit a year or 2 later and often with multiple postponements. Nothing was going to stop us! It was a pleasure to have captured some lovely weddings in 2021. From a very small and intimate wedding (max 6 guests) under the exeptional circumstances rule when weddings were banned, to my first snowy wedding (in 11 years!)
Special thanks again to all the couples who put their faith in me to capture their big day. Also thanks go out to all the venues, some of which I have build some good relationships and became a recommended supplier. Thanks to all the suppliers I’ve worked with over the last year, and also a special shout out to Christian (and the other second photographers I’ve worked with) Its been a rollercoaster.

Matt was incredibly professional and supportive throughout the whole process from initially booking (via a virtual video call thanks to Covid) all the way through to pre meetings, the day itself and obviously our finished photos.
On the day he was incredible from start to finish and captured shots we couldn’t have even begun to imagine! They were so friendly and put us all at ease throughout the whole day and we couldn’t be happier with the finished photos and we have had so many compliments it is unbelievable!

We had an initial consultation where there is no pressure whatsoever about booking. We left super impressed with how professional Matt was, looking at some of his past photos and looking at some of his wedding albums. Matt also has a second photographer Christian who is just as professional and down to earth as Matt!
On our wedding day, both Matt and Christian were fab! Guests commented on how the photos didn’t feel forced like you normally see at weddings and this was exactly what we wanted out of our photographer. Our photos showed a great documentation of the entire day and we love showing our friends and family the photos using the slideshow.
I can’t wait for us to get photos printed and albums sorted… Thank you Matt!
