Faye & Rob’s Wedding at Locko Park Derbyshire 05/11/2016

Planning a wedding and looking for some inspiration? Here’s a post which contains a few of my favourite photographs from Faye & Rob’s Wedding at Locko Park Derbyshire. They also share a some advice for couples planning their dream wedding.

How long have you been together: 3 years 3 months.

Any stories or tales from the proposal: From Rob’s speech… I proposed to Faye under the most breath taking sunset, on what Faye called “the pirate ship” at the base of Oia, in Santorini.  I won’t go into depth about how the ring had been left in a tatty rucksack, unattended, amongst lots of other tourists for the first half of the day, whilst we romped up volcanoes and swam in warm springs.  How could she resist the beautiful setting, warm ocean breeze, stunning sunset and the pièce de résistance. My proposal, on one knee “How about it then?” A nod towards a proposal on one of our favourite films, The Boat That Rocked, Pirate Radio.

Reasons for choosing your venue: First of all Locko Park is special to us both. Rob’s family now have four generations who have been married and christened there. Furthermore, the two of us use it as a beautiful route to cycle, walk or run between our old and new homes.

Colour scheme/theme/style: Bicycle theme with navy and Autumn colours.

Any special thoughts/memories from the day: We had the perfect day and have made incredible memories with our loved ones.

Any advice for couples planning a wedding: Have fun! The planning is all part of the memories and enjoyment. Whoever said wedding planning is stressful is doing it all wrong!
