Becky & Matt’s Wedding at Hazel Gap Barn

Here’s another awesome wedding from the ever so picturesque Hazel Gap Barn. This was my second wedding at Hazel Gap Barn and one I was really looking forward too. Hazel Gap Barn is a magical venue. It’s the perfect setting for a rustic, atmospheric candlelit wedding. Becky & Matt tied the knot at St Mary’s Church in Norton Cuckney then cruised to Hazel Gap barn in a VW Camper! The weather played ball and meant we could get a few sunset shots later in the evening. Following their first dance and a busy dancefloor, it was nice to end on a high and get some creative night shots. These will look sweet in their wedding album and create some truly lasting memories of their awesome day!

Information & advice from the newlyweds

How long have you been together/Any stories about how you met?

Matthew and I have been together since I was fifteen years old (which is a long time!) We met hanging out with friends locally and have been together since.

Any stories or tales from the proposal?

The third time was the charm for Matt getting me to actually set a date and begin planning to walk down the aisle.

Reasons for choosing your venue:

After a mishap with our original venue, we chose Hazel Gap Barn as it a beautiful venue based in a fabulous location and the style fit perfectly with the theme that we had planned. The staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble in their quest to help us have the perfect day.

Colour scheme/theme/style:

The colour scheme chosen was based around a primary colour of dusky pink with some pastel sweet pea colours thrown in. The theme was essentially rustic but mainly focused on the use of the flowers and candles to set the room.

Any special thoughts/memories from the day?

The day was just perfect from start to finish but passed by so quickly. Standing in Church side by side and forgetting anyone else is in the room apart from us and the Vicar was a special moment.

Any advice for couples planning a wedding?

Just focus on what you and your partner want. You can’t please everyone on your day and make sure you get some quiet moments together as the day will go so fast.
