Thorpe Garden Wedding | Morag & Warren
Thorpe Garden Wedding Photography with Morag and Warren. This vibrant celebration at the stunning Thorpe Garden in Staffordshire was a joy to capture. As a passionate gardener, I was loving the gardens and colour available, from the Musa Basjoo banana plants to vibrant Erigeron daisies, it’s a true photographer’s playground!
Morag and Warren’s wedding was filled with personal touches, including a first look before the ceremony and Warren walking Morag halfway down the aisle was lovely and a refreshing moment which breaks traditions.
We ended with a trademark ‘last shot of the night’ – a magical fire-lit shot, the perfect close to their colourful and joy-filled celebration at this amazing venue popular with Staffordshire wedding photographers.
Information & advice from the newly-weds
Any stories or tales from the proposal?
The proposal happened at a view point over looking the bay where it was quiet and 10 years prior where we said we loved one another. Morag hates being centre of attention so I knew a quiet location was going to be better, that’s when a coach party turned up at the time of proposal and put a different spin on that!
Reasons for choosing your venue?
We viewed a few and Thorpe Garden instantly became the pedestal for others we viewed after. It had the best of both gorgeous outdoor spaces, chilled-out vibes in the tipi and beautiful interior space for the poor weather. Being foodies though, it was the simply stunning cuisine that made memories for us and our guests. A wedding at Thorpe Garden it was!
Colour/Style:
Ivory, navy blue for the materials and overall colour scheme. Black and white, clean minimalist signage and invitations.
Any special thoughts/memories from the day?
Sweetheart table to actually take a moment as a couple to sit and enjoy what we had created in the wedding breakfast. We were so caught up about the weather but actually we couldn’t have asked for better on our day even though it rained it was still amazing. We would love to do it all again, without the planning!
Food! Food! Food! The food was to die for and is something we had so much positivity back from guests afterwards.
Our first look was really important – it set the tone for the day and put us both at ease.
Any advice for couples planning a wedding?
Don’t get caught up worrying about all the little things that won’t matter, you and your guests will have an amazing time at the right place with the right food and most importantly the right people around them.
Make sure you have time for one another (sweetheart table over top table any day!) People take away the food, the music and the venue. Everything else is secondary. Who even looks at wedding favours after the day anyway!
