Dan & Gary’s Theatre Themed Norwood Park Wedding.
Dan & Gary tied the knot less than 3 weeks ago at the fabulous Norwood Park in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. Everyone was hoping for a dry and sunny day which meant they could have an outdoor ceremony. As luck had it the weather was awesome! with clear blue skies and temperatures in the twenties!
Dan & Gary chose a Norwood Park wedding for its magical grandeur. It’s a tranquil haven set within over 100 acres of ancient parkland. This restful and secluded location makes it the perfect wedding venue and I can wait to work here again! (Oh and the food is incredible!) The House was built in 1764 and overlooks the lake and apple orchards. It offers plenty of opportunities for indoor and outdoor photography.
Information & advice from the newly-weds!
How long have you been together: We’ve been together for 6 years.
Any stories or tales from the proposal: I proposed to Gary at a homecoming party in front of all our friend safter I’d returned from a 6 month deployment.
Reasons for choosing your venue: We chose to have a Norwood Park wedding because of its fairytale setting & the Manor House.
Colour scheme/theme/style: It was a musical theatre themed wedding. Our invites was theatre tickets, table names after musicals and the table name cards were Broadway playbills. The colour scheme was gold and ivory.
Any special thoughts/memories from the day: The best memory for me is that bloody unicorn Brenda making an appearance and getting a friend in the speech. And marrying Gary obviously!
Any advice for couples planning a wedding: The advice I’d give is to plan early and have lots of spreadsheets!
