Nottingham Engagement Photography with Stuart & Anna
Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting up with Stuart & Anna for their pre-wed session. With spring in full swing and an abundance of bluebells in the woods, I knew we only needed some decent weather and we were onto a winner! As luck had it the weather was spot on, clear skies and plenty of sunlight!
The location is only a stones throw from me, situated on the boarder between Hucknall & Beauvale and pretty close to Beauvale Priory (a lovely spot for afternoon tea if you’re ever in the area!) Having had my eye on this small secluded area of woodland for a while,I was eager to use this magical scene as my backdrop for engagement/portrait sessions when I knew the bluebells were here.
Stuart & Anna were a pleasure to capture – fun, easygoing & stylish which made my job that bit easier! Compared to the way I’d usually capture a wedding, an engagement session can often yield more of the posed kind of shots. Whilst still keeping things relaxed &natural I took more of the soft green backgrounds which lends itself so well to portraiture. On the flip-side I couldn’t help but end our session with some contrasting silhouettes of the loving couple in a rugged earthy field.
Here’s a selection of photographs from Stuart & Anna’s pre wed shoot in bluebell woods.
Stuart & Anna are due to tie the knot this summer at the lovely Colwick Hall Hotel in Nottingham. I can’t wait!
