A humanist Yeldersley Hall Wedding | Sabina & Peter

Here’s a lovely collection of Yeldersley Hall Wedding photographs from the awesome wedding of Mr & Mrs Aston. This would be my first humanist wedding and I have to say I wish I could capture more! A humanist wedding is a non-religious wedding ceremony that gives you the opportunity to marry where you want when you want and how you want. There’s no set script. Instead, each wedding is tailored to meet the particular couple’s requirements. You can set the tone that’s right for you and choose your own words and music.

Yeldersley Hall is a traditional English Country House set deep within the rolling Derbyshire countryside. It’s a lovely venue for a summer wedding and has everything you could ask for in a wedding venue. It also provides some perfect backdrops for couple portraits and group shots.

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Aston. Here are some of my favourites from the day and some info from the couple. There’s also some supplier information at the bottom. It details all the amazing suppliers who made their day so special!

Information & advice from the newlyweds

How long have you been together/Any stories about how you met? It took us seven years to reach our wedding day! We met at work, on Sabina’s second day – we shook hands and somehow both realised we had met someone special. We then became close friends, began living together after three years, and have never looked back since.

Any stories or tales from the proposal? Peter proposed while we’re on holiday in Seville. He hadn’t picked a specific time, but instead carried the ring in his pocket for two days before the perfect moment presented itself while we were in a secluded park. It was a total surprise to Sabina!

Reasons for choosing your venue? Yeldersley Hall was perfect for us! It has a bit of everything – lovely gardens, beautiful rooms and halls, and gave us the opportunity to do what we wanted so the day reflected our personalities. A Yeldersley Hall Wedding it was!

Colour scheme/theme/style: There wasn’t a theme as such, we just wanted it to feel fun and laid back – like us!

Any special thoughts/memories from the day? We have so many special memories from the day, in particular walking down the aisle together and seeing all of our family and friends in one room – it was very heartwarming and humbling.

Any advice for couples planning a wedding? It’s so easy to get carried away – stick to what’s true to you and not what you think others may expect. Try not to worry about the little things, or even the big things! Everyone will have a wonderful time, no matter what.
