A Gloucestershire Farm Wedding with Sophie & Adam

Here’s a batch of photographs from the awesome wedding of Sophie & Adam, now Mr & Mrs Shayle!

The day started with a long drive down to Gloucester. Me and my second photographer Christian met Sophie and her bridesmaids at a hotel not too far from the Church. We spent the morning capturing all the preparations – from Sophie’s had her hair & make up by ‘Isabella’, flowers from ‘Longlevens flowers’ the dress from ‘Adele Howarth-Winstnley’ and the cake from ‘Justbeautifulweddings’. From there it was onto the small village of Ashleworth to meet the groom at the very picturesque and photogenic Ashleworth church.

Having met the stylish groom and his entourage at the church we took advantage of a few group shots on the CAT tractor (It would be rude not too at a farm wedding!) then waited for the arrival of the bride. On arrival, Sophie looking stunning along with her six bridesmaids who all looked fabulous in pink with white rose bouquets.

The church ceremony was great from a photography point of view, with free reign to capture the ceremony from the front and plenty of ambient light allowing for clean and sharp imagery. The ceremony was full of laughter, especially when Adam revealed a tongue in cheek message to the guests on the underside of his brogues!

The evening reception was held on the family farm in a large marquee filled with detail (and wine!) Its evident Adam & Sophie went to great lengths to ensure the reception had a touch of personalisation and was one to remember. Adam who’s a tree surgeon laid his mark with wooden detail throughout and Sophie who works in the wine industry ensured everyone had a full glass of the good stuff alongside the perfect wedding favour!

As you scroll through the images below you’ll get a feel for just how much fun the evening reception was. With so many best men, Adam was definitely on the receiving end of some banter during the speeches. It was also one on the best cake cuts I’ve ever captured (see below!)
