Doubletree by Hilton Wedding with Kirsty & Matt 26/5/2017
Here’s a preview of the lovely wedding of Kirsty & Matt (Now Mr & Mrs Hankin) They got married at our lady of good council church in Eastwood followed by a Doubletree by Hilton wedding reception. Kirsty & Matt tied the knot on one of the hottest days of the year which enabled us to get some nice summery photographs.
Information & advice from the newly-weds!
How long have you been together: We’ve been together almost 6 years. Matt proposed to me on 18th Jan 2016 on our first holiday abroad as a family with Poppy.
Any stories or tales from the proposal: We went for a walk along the seafront and he asked if we could have a selfie in front of the sunset. Poppy was in the buggy in the middle and he proposed shortly after we took the photo.
Reasons for choosing your venue: We chose a Doubletree by Hilton wedding because we wanted a hotel so that everyone could all stay the night without having to travel. We didn’t want to go abroad because we wanted everyone to share the day with us and some of our elderly relatives wouldn’t have been able to travel. The weather on the day was like being abroad anyway!
Colour scheme/theme/style: The colour scheme was baby pink (Kirsty’s favourite colour)
Any special thoughts/memories from the day: For all the nerves & worrying beforehand I can’t believe how fast it went! It was an amazing day and everything went so smoothly. Poppy’s usually really shy but she had lots of photos and was really good and stayed up late dancing to Elvis.
Any advice for couples planning a wedding: Enjoy it as it goes so quickly. Try to enjoy the planning and build up, it might seem stressful but it’s all worth it.
